Selecting a hotel in Egypt really depends very much on your budget and requirements and on the type of Egyptian holiday you are looking for. Consider the climate in Egypt and make sure for example that the hotel room includes air conditioning, whilst if you are elderly you might want to ensure you are on a lower floor or that there is a lift to higher floors. Some lifts I have used in some hotels sometimes did not work and thus a lower placed floor would have made things easier. If you go for a high end or luxury hotel though, then such issues 
not should be a problem.
